This plain-language notice describes the Phase 1 data practices designed for NahantNet.
How it is used
Information is used to verify identities and connections to Nahant, operate Nahant Channels, review contributions, respond to reports, contact you and maintain community records.
What becomes visible
Verification details and full account identities are restricted to authorized administrators. Channels displays a first name, last initial and verified connection category with posts, replies and reactions. Posts and uploaded photographs become visible to verified members.
Service information
The hosting service may process technical information needed for authentication, security, storage, reliability and aggregate analytics. NahantNet does not sell personal information.
Retention and corrections
Verification, moderation and community records are retained while needed to operate the service. You may request correction or deletion, subject to legitimate archival, safety and legal obligations.
